Faisalabad: Divisional Commissioner Mussarat Jabeen has directed relevant departments to expedite the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and completion of other legal requirements for private housing schemes awaiting approval from the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA).
The directive was issued during a meeting chaired by the commissioner to review the approval process and identify hurdles delaying the clearance of private housing schemes.
FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhary informed the meeting that several housing schemes remained pending due to delays in obtaining NOCs and fulfilling other legal requirements by concerned departments.

Jabeen directed all relevant institutions to improve coordination and complete pending NOCs and formalities on a priority basis to avoid unnecessary delays in approvals and enable citizens to access essential civic services, including electricity and natural gas.
She also instructed the deputy commissioner to regularly monitor housing schemes undergoing the FDA approval process and ensure timely resolution of issues delaying approvals.
The commissioner further directed authorities to ensure that all sewerage manholes in private housing schemes have protective covers and that additional safety measures are installed where necessary. She warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible for negligence resulting in loss of life or property.
