During the meeting, SMBR Nabil Javed was briefed on the ongoing efforts to reform land valuation procedures. Officials reported that the land valuation reform process has been completed in all districts of Punjab, with the exception of Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha, where work is in the final stages.
Nabil Javed emphasized that under these reforms, the Board of Revenue is working to digitise the records of all urban and rural properties, thereby reducing reliance on outdated manual systems. He noted that digitisation will play a critical role in enhancing accuracy, eliminating unnecessary delays, and preventing land-related disputes.
“These reforms are being implemented in line with the vision of the Chief Minister,” said Javed. “We are committed to safeguarding citizens’ property rights and ensuring the efficiency and transparency of land administration.”
The Senior Member also issued fresh instructions to accelerate the reforms and data digitisation efforts. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts at the divisional level, where revenue-related records are being updated and digitised.
