Islamabad: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday, approved four major development projects worth over Pkr240 billion.
The approved projects include the expansion of AFIC-NIHD Rawalpindi, the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, the Karachi Yellow Line BRT Corridor, and the Harpo Hydropower Project (34.5 MW) in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including the Minister for Finance, Minister for Planning, Minister for Planning Sindh, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Planning, Secretary Defence, Secretary Water Resources, and representatives from the Economic Affairs Division, Finance Ministry, NAVTTC, and other concerned departments.
The projects aim to enhance healthcare infrastructure, improve urban transportation, develop youth skills, and increase energy capacity, reflecting the government’s focus on large-scale development initiatives across the country.
