Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has prepared the final draft of bylaws for high-rise buildings, reported a news source. This draft proposes amendments in LDA Building Regulations 2009 to help encourage the construction of high-rise buildings in Lahore.
The LDA took the decision to transform the construction laws in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision for high-rise developments. The new draft will be introduced after the LDA Governing Body grants approval to it. The draft proposes relaxation in building bylaws for structures constructed on plots of various sizes.
As per the details shared in the draft, the LDA proposes the construction of ground plus three stories on a plot measuring 10 marlas in size. A 1-kanal plot can have ground plus six floors within a height limit of 90 feet. A structure built on a 2-kanal plot can reach 120 feet in height, while the height limit set for buildings spanning over 4 kanals is 200 feet.
