Faisalabad: Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Suhail Ashraf on Tuesday (May 31) directed the administration to solve parking problems of the Clock Tower Bazar, news sources reported. He said that provisions would also be made to install street lights in the city.
According to reports, the DC went to the Clock Tower and the eight bazaars nearby to enquire about the city’s traffic concerns. To address these issues, he instructed the administration to use parking lots near the Clock Tower Chowk and an under-construction parking plaza outside Chiniot Bazaar. He also promised that the parking issue will be permanently handled in the near future.
Furthermore, DC stated at a meeting to assess the city’s infrastructure and related challenges that the local government has budgeted PKR 35 million for the construction of streetlights. The streetlights will be installed in major areas and roadways around the city, including an 85-foot double road, and ageing lights in the city’s main boulevard area will be replaced. He asked that the authorities expedite work on the city’s development in order to bring relief to the people.
