Lahore: The Lahore Ring Road Authority has announced plans to develop six modern rest areas at key locations along the Ring Road to improve the travel experience for commuters. Each site will offer essential services, including petrol stations, tuck shops, mosques, restrooms, and food outlets.
According to officials, the selected sites will be leased to financially stable individuals and companies through a competitive process. The lease agreements have already been drafted, and offers will soon be invited for the six identified locations.

Each rest area will span between 4.5 and 5 kanal, strategically located at Adda Plot, Halloki, Kamahan, opposite the airport, and Mehmood Booti. These facilities aim to provide convenient stops for travelers and commercial traffic using the high-speed corridor around Lahore.
The authority expects to generate more than PKR 200 million in annual revenue from the leasing of these sites. Final touches are being added to the lease documentation, and all necessary preparations for site allocation have been completed.
The initiative reflects the government’s broader effort to modernize infrastructure and improve road-user services, ensuring safer and more comfortable travel along one of Lahore’s busiest routes.
