Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has reclaimed three valuable plots in LDA Avenue One that had been under illegal occupation for 21 years. The operation was carried out on the instructions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, with teams from the Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Authority (PERA) and the LDA taking part.
The recovered plots have an estimated market value exceeding PKR 60 million. The operation was supervised by Avenue One Director Umar Sohaib.

In a parallel crackdown on illegal constructions and commercial fee defaulters, LDA teams sealed 88 properties across Gulberg, Faisal Town, Gulshan Ravi, GT Road, Wahdat Road, Sabzazar, and other LDA-controlled areas.
The sealed properties included private schools, clinics, workshops, laboratories, salons, eateries, milk shops, and offices. Wahdat Road saw the highest action, with 35 properties sealed for either non-payment of commercial fees or illegal commercial use.
According to the LDA, such operations will continue to clear encroachments and ensure compliance with building and commercial regulations across the city.
