Balochistan’s government had previously extended its lockdown till May 5 and a decision was to be made on the matter today, resulting in an extension till May 19.
The decision was announced by the Provincial Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani. Balochistan had experienced a sudden rise in cases on Monday, when the provincial authorities confirmed 103 new cases, taking the provincial tally to 1,321.
Of the new cases detected, 92 are from Quetta, 4 from Lasbela, 3 from Sibi, 2 from Chaghi, 1 from Noshki, and 1 from Qilla Abdullah.
