Peshawar: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has intensified recovery operations against property tax defaulters in Peshawar while also engaging with the industrial community to address taxation-related concerns.
According to official details, targeted enforcement actions were carried out against major defaulters under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO-VI) Peshawar Aijaz Anwar. During these operations, multiple tax-defaulting units were sealed, and final notices were issued to banks and other defaulters for recovery of outstanding dues.
In a separate set of actions, another team led by ETO-II Peshawar Tauseef Khan, along with Assistant Excise and Taxation Officers Nasir Mehmood Khan and Zar Ali Khan, also conducted enforcement operations. Several non-compliant units were sealed after failing to clear dues despite repeated notices.

The department urged property owners to ensure timely payment of taxes to avoid legal action and operational inconvenience.
Alongside enforcement measures, the department also held consultations with the industrial community to resolve taxation issues. Under the supervision of ETO-III Peshawar Zahid Iqbal Khan, a meeting was held with representatives of industrial associations, including President Ayub Zakori and Senior Vice President Haris Mufti.
Officials said around 15 cases were resolved on the spot during the meeting, which was welcomed by participants. Industrial stakeholders expressed satisfaction over the department’s prompt response to their concerns.
The Excise Department also issued PT-10 challans to facilitate industrialists in completing legal and taxation formalities.
Officials reaffirmed that the department would continue to address issues through consultation and cooperation alongside enforcement actions against defaulters.
