Karachi: The Sindh government has distributed solar home system kits to 2,615 eligible families across 13 districts under its “Roshan Ghar – Roshan Sindh” initiative.
The solar kits are being provided under the Solar Home System Project of the Sindh Energy Department and implemented by the Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO), according to an SRSO spokesperson.
The project aims to provide reliable, affordable and sustainable solar energy solutions to 275,000 households across all 30 districts of Sindh through a transparent beneficiary selection process.
The spokesperson said beneficiaries were selected after their eligibility was verified through a scrutiny process based on criteria set by the Sindh government. The solar home system kits are being provided free of cost.
