Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired an important meeting on the Lyari Transformation Project, where he directed that the area be fully solarised as part of its redevelopment.
During the session, the National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) presented a survey report highlighting the need to completely reconstruct Lyari’s water supply and sewerage systems. The findings also covered deficiencies in the locality’s road infrastructure and waste management system.
Bilawal emphasised that all future planning must cater to the area’s growing population and instructed that the People’s Bus Service be extended to Lyari’s inner localities to improve public transport access.
