Sui: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Thursday inaugurated the Sui Ring Road along with several other local development projects, reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and uplifting underdeveloped areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by tribal elders, elected representatives, senior government officials, and a large number of local residents, reflecting strong public interest in development initiatives in the region.
Prior to the formal inauguration, the chief minister inspected the newly completed road by driving along the stretch from Phadda Nullah to China Post. He expressed satisfaction over the quality and pace of construction and commended the executing company and its workforce for completing the project within the stipulated timeline while maintaining construction standards.
Addressing the gathering, Bugti said the provincial government was focusing on accelerating development activities in remote and historically neglected areas to bring them into the national development framework. He emphasised that modern infrastructure, particularly road networks, plays a crucial role in promoting economic activity, facilitating mobility, and improving access to basic services.
He noted that well-built roads contribute not only to safer and more efficient travel but also support trade and strengthen social and economic links between communities.
The chief minister said the newly inaugurated Sui Ring Road would help reduce traffic congestion in the area, improve road safety, and enhance connectivity between Sui and surrounding localities. He described the project as an important step toward strengthening infrastructure in the region and supporting long-term development.
Bugti also reiterated the government’s commitment to continuing development efforts across Balochistan, particularly in areas that have historically lacked adequate infrastructure and public services.
He added that ongoing and upcoming development projects would be completed on priority to ensure residents benefit from improved facilities, better connectivity, and increased economic opportunities. The Sui Ring Road project is expected to play a significant role in improving transportation in the area and supporting broader regional development efforts across Balochistan.
