Islamabad: The second day of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) auction for residential and commercial plots in Islamabad concluded with plots worth PKR 1.28 billion being sold, continuing the public auction at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
On the second day, Plot No. 12 in Sector D-12 Markaz was auctioned for PKR 1.04 billion, while Plot No. 284-A in Sector F-10/3 fetched PKR 24.60 crore. The auction is being supervised by the Chairman of the Auction Committee, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, along with other committee members.
The first day of the auction saw high-value sales, including Plot No. 15 in the Blue Area (F-8/G-8), sold for PKR 3.52 billion, and Plot No. 17 in the same area, sold for PKR 9.15 billion. Other plots in the Orchards Scheme, Murree Road, were also sold, each fetching over PKR 40 crore.

The auction will continue until December 24, offering plots across various categories for investment. To encourage participation, the CDA is providing several investor-friendly measures. Commercial plot buyers can avail an additional 5 percent discount on payments in US dollars, or for lump-sum payments within 30 days of bid approval. Building plan approvals are also allowed after 25 percent payment, while possession can be taken after 75 percent payment.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the revenue generated from the auction will be used for the construction, development, and beautification of Islamabad, further enhancing the city’s infrastructure and public facilities.
