Islamabad — The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved hiring consultancy services for three major new entertainment projects in the city: a theme park, a Ferris-wheel, and a cable car service.
During the 75th meeting of the Development Working Party (DWP) held on Tuesday, the PC-II proposals for feasibility studies and detailed design of these projects were approved. The estimated costs for the consultancy services are Rs206 million for the theme park, Rs61.8 million for the Ferris-wheel, and Rs197.76 million for the cable car.

Officials noted that Islamabad’s population has grown to over two million residents, who are seeking improved recreational and entertainment options. As a key tourist destination in Pakistan, these projects are expected to enhance the city’s appeal for both domestic and international visitors.
The CDA confirmed that the feasibility studies and detailed designs are expected to be completed within six months, laying the groundwork for Islamabad’s next generation of tourist attractions.
