Multan: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan and the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) have launched a coordinated drive to tackle illegal commercialization and recover outstanding dues from property owners. The initiative was announced following a high-level meeting between the NAB Multan and PHATA.
Director General NAB Multan, Asim Lodhi, chaired the meeting with PHATA Director General Khawaja Sikandar Zeeshan and his team in attendance. The officials reviewed PHATA’s operations, discussed commercialization of residential properties, and assessed the recovery of unpaid commercialization fees.

During the meeting, officials highlighted that billions of rupees in commercialization charges remain pending from shops, plazas, and commercial centers across Multan, including prominent areas like Brands Road. The drive aims to ensure timely recovery and prevent further losses to the national exchequer.
Practical measures were discussed to ensure effective enforcement. NAB Multan will provide full legal support to PHATA, with additional cooperation from the district administration and local police to facilitate smooth implementation.
Both agencies agreed to take strict action against illegal commercial activities and emphasized expeditious recovery of dues to safeguard state interests.
