Rawalpindi: The excise department is mulling extending the deadline for the filing of property taxes till March, a news source reported. A separate cell dedicated for the issuance of NOCs relating to property taxation has also been set up at the excise office.
This was disclosed during a meeting held between Excise and Taxation Director Chaudhry Sohail Arshad and a delegation of the Rawalpindi Traders Association led by its president Shahid Ghafoor Paracha.
The other members included Vice President Waheed Paracha, Abdul Qudoos, Rana Khurram, Sheikh Abid, Chaudhry Abdul Rauf, and Chaudhry Akram.
The delegation informed the excise director about the hurdles they faced regarding the issuance of NOCs, and requested the authorities concerned to facilitate the business community.
