Islamabad: A delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Federal Finance Minister Dr. Miftah Ismail today to discuss budget 2018-19, according to a news report. This delegation will be headed by the FPCCI President Ghazanfar Bilour and Senior Vice President Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir.
The meeting will discuss the issues and anomalies in the recently announced Federal Budget so as to remove these before the announcement of the Finance Bill 2018. Nasir, who is also the Chairman of Budget Advisory Council, will advocate on fixing the issues of Gas infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC). It is also expected that he will propose that the Final Tax Regime (FTR) status of Commercial importers should be restored.
