Lahore: The government has announced its decision to launch the ‘National Jobs Portal’ utility in June, a news source reported. To this effect, the National Information Technology Board (NITB) has stated that the facility would notify the availability of vacant positions in both federal and provincial departments.
An NITB official revealed this information while briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology & Telecommunication. The attendees also received a briefing on the current budget situation of the Ministry of Technology & Telecommunication.
The incumbent government has launched several initiatives similar to the upcoming ‘National Jobs Portal’. These include the ‘Pakistan Citizen’s Portal’ launched in October 2018 and the ‘Digital Pakistan Internship Portal’ launched in the beginning of this year.
Recently, the PM also inaugurated the ‘Data4Pakistan’ as part of the government’s Ehsaas Programme. This portal will feature the data on each district for facilitating the analyses on poverty estimates and other indicators in these areas.
