Islamabad: The Islamabad district administration has expanded its ongoing household survey to 20,149 families, with 1,944 homes covered in the last 24 hours, as officials urge residents to cooperate with field teams and use the mobile app for quick data submission.
According to the latest progress report, survey teams visited 1,905 homes during door-to-door operations, while another 39 households voluntarily submitted their information through the official mobile app. The administration said the initiative is designed to gather updated demographic data to support improved civic planning, service delivery, and public safety across the capital.

Officials said daily operations are being monitored closely, with teams deployed across both urban and rural areas to verify household records and ensure complete coverage. The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has appealed to residents to welcome survey teams and provide accurate information, stressing that the exercise is essential for understanding population distribution, civic needs, and local challenges.
To simplify participation, the administration has enabled residents to upload household information from anywhere using their phones. The DC said the app has been streamlined for faster data entry, while field teams are trained to assist families needing help with form submission or verification.
The report added that special attention is being given to hard-to-reach areas to ensure no household is left out. Residents have also been reminded that survey staff carry official identification and are authorized to collect data on behalf of the administration.
The DC reiterated that cooperation from citizens—either through in-person visits or app-based submissions—will help authorities strengthen city management, allocate resources more effectively, and plan for emergencies with greater accuracy.
