Faisalabad: The provincial government has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art expo center on 50 acres in Faisalabad, along with a world-class community center in the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) to accommodate 450 Chinese residents, officials said.
Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain shared the details while chairing a meeting of the FIEDMC Board of Directors at the FIEDMC head office on Thursday. The meeting was attended by FIEDMC Chairman Rana Azhar Waqar, Secretary Industries Umar Masood, and Deputy Commissioner Cap (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, with some members joining via video link.
The minister emphasised that providing the best possible facilities to industrialists remains a top priority and directed that all FIEDMC matters be carried out in accordance with established rules. He rejected a proposal to increase plot prices in FIEDMC industrial estates and noted the lack of bank branches in the industrial estate, saying that branches of various banks will be established to facilitate investors and businesses.

The board also authorised the process of appointing a legal advisor to expedite legal matters, reviewed industrial and commercial building regulations, considered audit reports for the past three years, and approved the policy for introducing bank branches within the estates.
The projects aim to enhance Faisalabad’s industrial infrastructure and provide world-class facilities for both local and foreign investors, strengthening the city’s position as a leading industrial hub in Pakistan.
