Faisalabad: Faisalabad’s road infrastructure is undergoing swift rehabilitation under the “Sarakain Bahal – Safar Asaan” programme, with repair and restoration work accelerated along both sides of Sheikhupura Road to Nishatabad Bridge.
Divisional Commissioner and Administrator Municipal Corporation Faisalabad, Raja Jahangir Anwar, said that all available resources are being utilized to improve the condition of the city’s roads and ensure safer, more convenient travel for residents. He added that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing public mobility and civic convenience across urban areas.

The commissioner noted that extensive anti-encroachment operations are also in progress throughout Faisalabad, including in the city’s eight main bazaars, to restore clear and accessible public spaces. Meanwhile, the authorities are making traffic signals fully functional, illuminating streetlights, and completing asphalt carpeting on inner streets and link roads to streamline urban movement.
He emphasized that municipal services will continue without interruption, and the ongoing improvement works will persist until the city’s infrastructure meets the standards envisioned by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
