Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved 18 development schemes worth PKR 13.87 billion for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa – a news source reported.
PDWP sanctioned the schemes during a special meeting, which was presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash. P&D Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, along with representatives of the tribal districts, also attended the session.
The participants reviewed 19 schemes pertaining to agriculture, buildings, roads and bridges, urban development, health, multi-sectoral development, local government, relief and rehabilitation, higher education, sports, and tourism sectors.
The meeting rejected one proposal due to inadequate design issues, and returned it to the department concerned for rectification.
The approved projects included a livestock programme, development of infrastructure in the KP Assembly building, construction of a 35km road in Swat, and rehabilitation of Bara-Mastak.
