An additional PKR 2.55 billion has been set aside for the New Gwadar International Airport, while PKR 1 billion has been allocated for the Gwadar-Ratodero Road Project, further expanding regional transport links.
The PSDP also includes PKR 400 million for land acquisition for proposed rail connectivity from Gwadar via Besima to Jacobabad, reflecting continued progress on long-term plans to integrate the port city with Pakistan’s railway network.
In the maritime and port development segment, funds have been allocated for multiple schemes, including land acquisition under the Gwadar Master Plan, the Off-Dock Terminal, East Bay Expressway Phase-II, and the Project Management Cell for the proposed Gwadar Shipyard.
The development programme also covers several civic and municipal projects aimed at improving urban infrastructure in the port city. These include sanitation and landfill development, rehabilitation of Old Town Gwadar, implementation of the Gwadar Safe City Project, and improvements in water supply and treatment systems.
