Lahore: Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Revenue Chaudhry Muhammad Adnan has revealed that the process for property registration in the province has been automated, reported a news source. He indicated the introduction of further improvements in the operations of the revenue department.
The secretary is in support of introducing modern facilities in the Punjab Revenue Department. Speaking about starting new businesses in the province, Adnan said that any company can get itself registered on Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s website in one day.
Chaudhry also revealed that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started its one-window operations. This facility has all departments available to ensure timely issuance of construction permit. The time required for issuance of this certificate in other provinces will also be reduced, he added.
The secretary also said that online payment for due provincial and federal taxes and duties is underway. The government is synchronising all major tax collection departments with the online domain for Pakistan Custom Department.
