Rawalpindi: A high-level meeting was held in Rawalpindi to review land management issues and the progress of the Rawalpindi Master Plan.
The meeting was chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Engr. Aamer Khattak. It was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Rawalpindi and Attock, along with assistant commissioners from Taxila, Gujar Khan, Kahuta, Hassan Abdal, and Fateh Jang, as well as senior RDA officials.
During the session, officials were briefed on various land and property-related matters across Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Murree, and other tehsils of the region. The presentations covered the status of properties, development prospects, and administrative challenges within their respective jurisdictions.

The Chief Planner of RDA presented a detailed briefing on the Rawalpindi Master Plan, outlining progress made so far and the remaining targets. After reviewing the update, the commissioner directed concerned departments to accelerate implementation work and ensure timely completion of the plan.
He stressed that effective coordination between district administrations and relevant departments is essential for addressing urban expansion challenges and ensuring planned development across the region.
The commissioner also emphasised the need to protect public land, prevent encroachments, and improve land-use planning in line with the objectives of the Master Plan.
He said that a comprehensive and integrated planning framework is necessary to support sustainable urban development, environmental protection, and improved living standards for residents across the Rawalpindi Division.
