Karachi: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Investment and Public-Private Partnership, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, met with Turkey’s Consul General Ergul Kadak and Commercial Attaché Murat Ozmen at the Sindh Investment Department office to explore areas of mutual investment interest.
During the meeting, Qamar provided a detailed briefing on Sindh’s investment opportunities, highlighting key sectors including Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Dhabeji and Khairpur, Karachi Education City, Marble City Karachi, as well as agriculture, education, energy, IT, infrastructure, water recycling, environment, and industrial development. He also outlined government initiatives such as the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company and tax incentives for investors in SEZs.

“The Turkish Consul General expressed keen interest in investment in Sindh, particularly in the Karachi Education City,” the statement read.
Qamar also briefed the Turkish officials on Khairpur’s date production industry and discussed investment potential in the sector. Additionally, he emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to establishing an SEZ in Hyderabad, noting that motorcycle and electric appliance manufacturers have shown interest in setting up operations there.
Secretary Investment Sindh Raja Khurram Shahzad also apprised the Turkish delegation of the province’s mineral reserves, ongoing projects, and other sectors open for investment.
The meeting underlined Sindh’s proactive approach to attracting foreign investment, strengthening public-private partnerships, and promoting industrial and educational development in the province.
