Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued a stern warning to all property owners and developers involved in illegal constructions across the city. The directive comes from DG LDA Tahir Farooq, who expressed strong displeasure over recent complaints regarding unauthorized building activity and cutting of plots in violation of approved plans.
DG Tahir Farooq has instructed the Town Planning Wing to accelerate action against violators and strictly implement building bylaws. He also warned that field officers failing to act on complaints of illegal construction would face consequences. The DG said he personally plans to visit areas flagged for illegal development to ensure compliance.
The announcement followed a high-level meeting reviewing the performance of the LDA Revenue Generation and Town Planning Wing. During the session, DG Farooq also directed officials to ensure timely processing of applications on the EBiz portal and to regularly monitor its performance.
