Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed the swift completion of development work in Sector I-12 and the immediate removal of illegal constructions, encroachments, and waste from the area.
The directives were issued during his third consecutive visit to the Sector I-12 site on Monday, where he reviewed ongoing development activities and received a detailed briefing from the concerned departments. He emphasized the need to expedite the pace of work to ensure timely delivery in line with the project’s timeline.

Officials informed the chairman that over 80% of the waste at the site has already been cleared. Randhawa underlined the strategic significance of Sector I-12, located at the junction of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, calling it a key gateway for residents of both cities.
He further instructed that all administrative and operational hurdles be resolved on a priority basis to avoid delays and facilitate uninterrupted progress.
Highlighting CDA’s broader vision, Randhawa reiterated that the authority is committed to transforming Islamabad into a modern, sustainable, and citizen-friendly capital. He stated that sector development, infrastructure improvement, beautification, and the provision of civic, educational, and recreational facilities remain top priorities.
