Karachi: Plans are underway to transform Ziarat Hassan Shah Island, located off the coast of Karachi, into a modern and eco-friendly tourist destination. The government has announced this ambitious project as part of its efforts to boost tourism and develop new recreational spaces in and near the city.
According to official sources, the government is expected to invest over PKR 1 billion into the project, which is also likely to attract significant private sector investment worth billions of rupees.

The development plans include constructing modern facilities while maintaining the island’s natural beauty and coastal environment. To improve accessibility for visitors, the island will be connected to Karachi’s District East by road, making it easier for tourists to reach and explore the area.
The project is designed to generate employment opportunities, promote tourism, and provide a fresh destination for both residents and visitors of Karachi, combining eco-friendly development with recreational and economic benefits.
