Islamabad: The law directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has barred the land directorate from carrying out the balloting process of plots in Sector G-10 of the capital city, a news source reported.
As per reports, the balloting procedure was scheduled to take place on June 19. However, the law wing prohibited the land directorate officials from organising the procedure, and informed them that they needed CDA board’s approval for this purpose.
The law’s wing letter stated that the balloting process in Sector G-10 should not be carried out without the approval of the CDA board.
An official of the land directorate said that the affectees were provided an opportunity by the member estate and it was decided that these individuals would be provided plots in G-10 as compensation for their loss.
CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali also confirmed that the balloting process had been cancelled after objections from the law wing.
