Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved funds worth PKR 26.1 billion for seven projects – a news source reported. In addition, three mega-projects worth PKR 52.2 billion have also been forwarded to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for approval.
A meeting of the CDWP was held under the tutelage of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr Jahanzaib. It was also attended by Secretary Planning Zafar Hassan and other officials from the federal ministries and provincial departments.
A number of projects related to regional development, housing, transport & communication, and water resources were presented before the meeting.
Additionally, the meeting approved PKR 861.917 million for the Bajaur Area Development Project; PKR 796.564 million was approved for the Mohmand Area Development Project; PKR 9880 million was approved for the Prime Minister’s Skill for All project; and, PKR 6,470 million has been approved for the Mansehra water supply scheme among other projects.
