Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has reported that it is finalising the draft for the city’s new master plan, which will be made available to the shareholders concerned on March 23 — according to a news source published on January 6.
Divisional Commissioner Saqib Mannan stated that the master plan would include the planning and development layout for Faisalabad City for the next two decades. He made this announcement while addressing the city’s business community at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).
On the occasion, he further revealed that the city’s last master plan had been submitted back in 1988, and unlike the previous plan, the new plan would ensure the inclusion of proposals provided by the city’s business community. He added that the FCCI and FDA would be working closely on the development of the new master plan and took the opportunity to ask President FCCI Engineer Hafiz Ihtasham Javed to nominate the specific individuals who could help formulate the chamber’s proposals for the city’s enhancement.
