Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali on Monday revealed that the development work for the Jalozai Housing Scheme was in its final stages of completion — a news source reported. He made this revelation while presiding over a meeting on the establishment of a grid station in the housing scheme — with Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Executive Jabbar Khan also present during the session.
Additionally, the meeting was also attended by Director General Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) Imran Wazir and other high officials of both the housing ministry and PESCO.
On the occasion, the Housing Minister further revealed that the said project was the second largest housing venture in the province after Hayatabad, and that the construction of over 10,000 kanals worth of land was nearing completion. He added that the process to provide possession to the allottees had been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic; however, it is expected to be completed by December.
Minister Ali also directed the officials concerned to establish a makeshift power supply system till the grid station is developed — with the move aimed at facilitating the launch of construction of homes in the society.
