Kohat: Minister of State for Narcotics Control Sheharyar Afridi recently inaugurated a gas supply project in the city — with the initiative aimed at supplying gas to the Jandi Station and its surrounding areas, according to a news report.
At the occasion, Minister Afridi unveiled a plaque at the intersection of the Peshawar and Bannu bypass roads, in the presence of numerous officials and political workers. He stated that the work on laying gas pipelines to Jandi Station, Bangash Abad, Hafizabad, Dheri Banda, and Kalo Banda would begin in the first week of the next month. He added that this would fulfil longstanding promises to the residents of these areas and assured the people present that he would ensure gas supply throughout the district in his tenure.
In addition, he resolved to bring Prime Minister Imran Khan to Kohat and announce development projects for the district. Afridi was also meant to inaugurate the gas supply project to Sayyab on Rawalpindi Road, but this event was postponed due to heavy rains in the area.
