Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Moazzam has instructed his staff to attend to the applications submitted by overseas Pakistanis at LDA’s one-window cell facility on a priority basis, according to a news source.
He gave these directives while monitoring the special facilitation desk set up for overseas Pakistanis at the LDA’s office. The ‘Overseas Pakistanis Facilitation Desk’ was set up in January, 2017 for ensuring speedy disposal of complaints submitted by non-resident Pakistanis. LDA Deputy Director Jahanzaib-ul-Hassan heads this desk, while LDA Director One-Window Cell Asadullah Cheema manages its operations.
The DG LDA also instructed the officials concerned to process the applications submitted by overseas Pakistanis via the web portal of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission on an urgent basis. He said that the civic agency must ensure that the concerns of overseas Pakistanis with regard to property matters are addressed on an immediate basis, as these individuals visit Pakistan for a brief duration.
