Islamabad: The district administration has retrieved at least 1,000 kanals of land from illegal occupants in the capital’s E-12 sector – a news source reported.
A report to this effect was produced before the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The court was hearing a case pertaining to the development of the sector. Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat prepared the document.
The court was informed that the process to retrieve state land was currently underway. It was further told that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was assisting the district administration to achieve this objective.
The officials concerned plan to develop the sector on 2,000 kanals of compact land, which will form two subsectors of E-12. Moreover, the Machinery Pool Organisation directorate will mark streets in this sector.
In a similar effort, the full-scale development work on two subsectors will commence in phase one. E-12 will comprise a total of four subsectors.
