Lahore: The 104th meeting of the governing body of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin.
During the meeting, a 21-point agenda was presented, and PHATA’s annual budget was formally approved. The governing body received briefings on several of the Chief Minister’s flagship housing initiatives, including Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar and Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Affordable Housing Project, which is being implemented in collaboration with the World Bank. Minister Bilal Yasin directed officials to accelerate work on the project and present detailed recommendations to improve its implementation.
Additionally, the governing body discussed proposed amendments to the laws governing private affordable housing schemes. A PC-I regarding the settlement of unutilised PHATA lands was also presented. The minister instructed relevant departments to prepare a feasibility report and submit comprehensive proposals on the optimal use of these uninhabited lands.
