Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate has asked the general public to verify the status of housing schemes prior to commencing with their investment finalisation, a news source reported. As per details, these individuals can visit the agency’s website address – www.rda.gop.pk – or contact its Public Relations Officer (PRO).
According to an RDA spokesperson, the civic agency had undertaken strict measures against illegal housing schemes as per the directions of RDA Director General Arif Abbasi. Further, he advised the citizens to refrain from investing in unauthorised projects.
Similarly, the developers of illegal residential schemes have been warned against advertising their projects without acquiring appropriate approvals. Previously, the RDA director general had announced the authority’s decision to launch a crackdown against unauthorised housing projects.
In the wake of the announcement, several notices were issued to the owners of illegal housing schemes with warnings that their offices would be sealed in response to the violations of RDA rules and regulations.
