In the aftermath of the scorching down of the LDA building, the reconstruction has finally started after being approved by the board of directors and other committees concerned. To bulldoze the top three storeys of the LDA building, a private company has been hired. The contract for bulldozing the 7th, 8th and 9th building has been signed for 10 Crore 50 Lac rupees.
The private company hired for this project is unable to give a deadline for its completion but a site office has been made by the company. Kashmir road has been blocked for normal traffic for the construction work to commence, also half of the Edgerton road has been blocked by stone blocks. The LDA committee prior to this step, was having an issue reaching a decision about its re construction.
