Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ravi Urban Development Authority) is moving ahead with the acquisition of land for the proposed Sports City in Lahore, officials said on Monday.
The development was discussed during a meeting between RUDA Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin and Punjab Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs Fazlur Rehman at Punjab Stadium, where key aspects of the project, including its location and planning framework, were reviewed.
According to officials, the Sports City is planned as Pakistan’s first dedicated sports-focused urban development and will be executed in multiple phases. The project aims to provide modern sports infrastructure, including international-standard stadiums and training facilities.

Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman said the initiative holds significant importance for the promotion and development of sports in the province. He added that the upcoming Sports City would feature modern sports complexes designed to meet international standards.
Officials further noted that RUDA is currently engaged in acquiring land required for the project, which is expected to serve as the foundation for its phased construction and long-term development plan.
