Lahore: The chief metropolitan planner of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has invited the public, stakeholders, government/semi-government/private institutions and organisations to submit their insights and recommendations to the authority for the formulation of the Masterplan of Lahore Division 2050, according to a news published on April 7.
The authority has also announced that to discuss the Masterplan of Lahore Division 2050, a public seminar/stakeholders’ conference will also be held on the land adjoining LDA Sports Complex. This seminar is announced to be held on April 12 at 11 am and will be broadcasted live on Facebook. Interested parties can also virtually attend the seminar via Zoom application. All the attendees are requested to adhere to the government-sanctioned standard operating procedures.
The suggestions and complaints can be submitted at LDA Metropolitan Planning Wing or during the seminar in written format. For more details, the citizens can call 042-99262332.
Reportedly, the authorities have highlighted that various sectors in Lahore Division (District Lahore, District Kasur, District Sheikhupura and District Nankana Sahib) require proper planning that includes:
- Mass transport
- Potable water
- Industries/cottage industries
- Urban population
- Residential facilities
- Facilities for pedestrians/bikers
- Cultural heritage
- Agricultural land near cities
Keeping in view these requirements, the LDA Metropolitan Planning Wing has engaged international and local consultants for masterplan formulation.
