Lahore: Pakistani officials have invited a Chinese company to establish manufacturing units of cables and conductors – a news source reported.
National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) Deputy Managing Director Wajahat Saeed extended the invitation to the ZTT Group. He was speaking at a seminar organised by the Chinese company.
Saeed said that there is a need to set up Optical Power Ground Wire (OPGW) units in Pakistan. He added that NTDC plans to increase its transmission capacity to 50,000MW from existing 26,000MW.
Such an initiative requires advanced transmission and distribution technology. The deputy MD said that NTDC seeks ZTT’s cooperation in this regard.
