Murree: Punjab Minister for Housing, Public Health and Engineering Mian Mehmood ur Rashid has constituted a committee to relaunch the Neelum-Jhelum Bulk Water Supply Scheme for Murree, Kotli Sattian, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad a news source reported. The committee comprises of the assistant commissioner of Murree, an official from the Public Health Department and a local representative.
The committee will submit its report in two weeks on the feasibility of the project. The mega project was launched in 2005 and had later been halted due to its high cost. The matter was brought before Lahore High Court (LHC)’s Rawalpindi bench and the previous government had promised that the project will be competed but the government’s term had ended before it could be relaunched.
