Karachi: Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) has launched Mera Ghar Mera Ashiana, a Sharia-compliant, affordable housing finance scheme introduced under the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) national initiative to promote inclusive and low-cost home ownership.
According to a statement issued on Monday, the scheme aims to make home financing more accessible for low- and middle-income families through subsidised profit rates and simplified eligibility criteria. Financing will be available for the purchase of constructed residential units, acquisition of plots, or construction on owned land, all offered under the diminishing musharakah model.

The initiative is part of Faysal Bank’s efforts to support SBP’s vision of expanding financial inclusion and enabling first-time home buyers to access formal housing finance. The bank said the programme would help empower individuals and families who have traditionally been excluded from conventional financing options.
Commenting on the launch, Faysal Bank President and CEO Yousaf Hussain said the bank is honoured to support this national initiative. “We sincerely acknowledge the SBP and the Government of Pakistan for their continued efforts in promoting inclusive housing finance. At Faysal Bank, we remain deeply committed to offering Sharia-compliant solutions that enable low-income families to achieve home ownership,” he added.
The bank reaffirmed that it will continue to play an active role in furthering SBP’s efforts toward long-term economic and social development through inclusive financial products.
