Lahore: The Government of Punjab (GOP) dreads heavy losses due to potential delays faced by the Orange Line Metro project, according to a news source. The project is facing delays due to a case pending in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The deadline for the project’s completion was December 2017. A senior GOP officer told news sources that the LHC’s bench hasn’t heard the case in last four months, in which the GOP filed a plea against the verdict announced earlier, ordering the government to stop development work on the project that falls within 200 meters of Shalimar Bagh.
