Highlighting the new initiative, the LDA DG said that vehicles will not be allowed to enter Fashion Avenue from 6 pm to 12 am, during which it will serve as a pedestrian-only street. He added that the removal of a roundabout on Zahoor Elahi Road will allow the addition of an extra traffic lane, easing congestion.
Vice Chairman Marghub appreciated the measures, noting that such projects will enhance the beauty of the provincial capital while supporting sustainable development goals.
Officials also reviewed progress on the G-1 Market to Bhalla Chowk Structure Plan Road and were briefed on challenges hindering its completion.
