Islamabad: Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) has announced a significant hydrocarbon discovery at the Makori Deep-03 development well in the TAL Block, located in District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to information provided by MOL, the operator of the TAL Block, the drilling at Makori Deep-03 commenced on December 12, 2024, and reached a total depth of 3,887 meters. Pakistan Oilfields holds a 25% pre-commerciality working interest in the TAL Block.

Post-completion testing of the well revealed promising results, with daily production recorded at 22.08 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of gas and 2,112 barrels of condensate, along with 15 barrels of water. The output was measured using a 32/64” fixed choke and a flowing wellhead pressure of 4,744 psi.
This discovery is expected to enhance the country’s domestic energy production and contribute positively to POL’s reserves and production profile.
