Rawalpindi: Punjab Minister for Colonies Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan recently sanctioned the installation of 19 tube wells in his PP-17 constituency in a bid to address water shortage in the area, a news source reported. During a visit to his constituency to review the new facilities, Chohan met with the locals and requested them to conserve water.
The minister also mentioned that previously, only 20 tube wells were installed in the area, which was insufficient to meet the water requirements. The recently installed tube-wells are meant to meet the requirement of drinking water in the neighbourhood.
Addressing the locals, Chohan said that citizens should cooperate with cleaning staff and abstain from littering their streets and lanes. He also urged the residents to use the natural resources of clean water carefully and avoid wasting it.
He also advised the residents to benefit from the services offered by the cleanliness staff operating in these areas.
