Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has installed camping pods at various sites in the province, including Bamburate in Chitral’s Kalash Valley, in a bid to facilitate tourists during the upcoming holiday season — according to news sources.
The government has already installed two to four bed camping pods in several attractions of KP. These pods have been installed in Sharan (Kaghan), Thandiani (Abbottabad), Bishigram and Gabin Jabba (Swat), Yakh Tangai (Shangla), and Sheikhbadin (Lakki Marwat). In addition, the provincial tourism department has also helped to renovate existing camping pods and tent villages at various resorts.
The KP Tourism Corporation Managing Director Junaid Khan stated that the scenic beauty and improving facilities in the area will make it a desirable destination for both local and foreign travelers. He further revealed that the aforementioned pods can house up to 40 to 50 tourists at a time and include every facility they might need during their stay (play area, kitchen, security etc.).
