Faisalabad: A hub for local entrepreneurs has been established in Faisalabad, a news source reported. The Faisalabad Hub of Global Shaper Community (GSC) will support young local entrepreneurs to play their role in economic development of the city, as well as the rest of Pakistan. The World Economy Forum (WEF) will support this hub.
GSC Vice Curator Muhammad Amin Haider held a meeting with Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President Syed Zia Alumdar Hussain. They discussed various ways to help young entrepreneurs to participate in the future economic development of Faisalabad.
The FCCI president stated that the city is home to a large number of young and dynamic entrepreneurs. He said these individuals have the ability to face emerging challenges and identify new avenues of development in coming years.
He supported the offer to invite young entrepreneurs (up to the age of 30) to join the GSC. He opined that this will be a productive use of their professional skills, and persuade them to help with policy making at different stages.
Meanwhile, Haider reminded that GSC was a part of Geneva bases World Economic Forum. He said that it had 8,000 members, and is working in 391 cities and 157 countries. He elaborated that GSC’s objective is to encourage young entrepreneurs to play their role in economic activities at the regional and global level.
